I always love taking getting ready shots for my brides. In all the weddings that I photograph, this has been a must-have! Why? Well, for me, it’s a special intimate moment, to capture the Mrs-to-be in her robe, getting her hair and makeup done, prepping herself for her spouse. As I kept doing these shots, I have noticed that some brides like to include a mini boudoir session consisting of a few shots of her in her intimate bridal wear for the wedding night. Then I figured, “Why not take it to the next level??”
I was inspired to design a romantic boudoir shoot featuring our amazing star vendors! We wanted to capture the ambiance of intimacy and romance with a blue and pink palette, with accents of bold gem tones. These colors together were aesthetically pleasing, wouldn’t you agree?
Like I said, I was with a team of remarkable vendors, and although there’s always effort exerted in every creative shoot we make, the execution was seamless especially with creatives like Emily Rose Valentine who’s always ready and willing to lend her talent with us as seen in the florals she arranged!
When we arrived at Noire 19 Studio, we immediately got to working. I stepped in to work on the tablescape, using my guide to ensure that we are intentional from top to bottom. Though it was hard not to pause and admire the intricate details of these beautiful linens from Olivia Jade Event Linen Rentals! I am in love with the pattern!
Before we continue, let’s first take a moment to admire this cake by Daisy Delights! Similar to the flower this sweet delight is based from, it is as delicate and romantic as a pink rose. Delicious too!
I am honestly so obsessed with the details in this editorial, like the ring boxes from Flowers for Lola. They made our flatlays romantic and magical, and stationery from Love Offering! Her calligraphy is always impeccable!
Now, let’s talk about our boudoir look. Our muse Shaina Ibanez dazzled us in three different outfits. Yes, we prepared three attires! For her first look, we wanted to go for a simple yet elegant ensemble. We brought out a beautiful silk and satin gown as opposed to the traditional robe! I’m honestly glad we did this because just look at how this gown hugs Shaina Ibanez’s beautiful curves!
Speaking of curves, this pink lingerie is perfect for Shaina’s body type! I love how delicate and romantic this look is, with a sheer robe to both reveal and cover some skin. If you want to imitate this look for your own boudoir, your significant other will definitely be delighted!
For the final look, our direction was to go bridal with this Ava gown from Lillie Mae Collection. She is a tinge of blue with lovely white rosettes, making it the perfect gown for a bridal attire. To complete the look, Shaina wore a pair of lace Bella Belle shoes with delicate floral embroidery in pale blue. I can’t help but be in love with this ensemble! Not to mention, Hair Inspired by Ciarra and Nicki Mac Brides brought out their artilleries to amplify Shaina’s beauty!
Ahhh!! I love every bit of this bridal boudoir! I can’t wait to implement creative ideas into future boudoir sessions for my clients! If this shoot has inspired you to do yours, let me know so we can tailor a bridal boudoir session that’s intentional and specifically something that’s YOU!
