Trends!? Yes yes yes! Let’s talk about it! We are absolutely obsessed over what trends are taking place this year and next year! These wedding trends are full of color and intimacy! See below for what trends are in this year and next year!!
Micro Weddings
The pandemic truly brought major changes- micro weddings!! Many couples opt to avoid having a large crowd on their wedding day for safety measures and that’s so a-OK! You can still have a beautiful micro wedding ceremony!! The plus side of micro weddings is that you can have an intimate celebration and we are all for intimacy between soulmates!
Bold Colors and Colored Gowns
If you haven’t heard, color is sooo in right now!! Muted tones and pastels have been a favorite of many brides and wedding planners (I’m guilty) for a while now. My favorite color is brown, soo I will always hold muted tones dear to my heart! However, this year, bold and vibrant colors are making a comeback! If you love eye-catching tones, this year is for you! Make it bright and flashy if that’s your thing!
If you are a timeless bride who wants the both of best worlds, you could walk down the aisle in white/ivory and dance in color! White has always been the go-to color for wedding gowns, but this year, many brides are playing with color! I know many brides want to wear their favorite color on their special day and now you have more reasons to say yes to that dress-maybe two dresses?! Think about it!? Is there a way to incorporate color into your wedding day!?
Regency-Inspired
This trend has to be one of my favorites because the details that go with this trend are top-notch!! With Bridgerton’s popularity and the Jane Austen classics that many brides grew up watching/reading, regency-inspired themes are about to rule the wedding halls! We are so here for it!! You can do this by selecting a venue that’s romantic with amazing architecture like The Swan House located in Atlanta, Georgia, or venues like The Ringling located in Sarasota Florida (read our Florida venue recommendations here)! There are so many options out there for couples who love this look!’
You could bring this romantic-regency-styled wedding to life with not only a stunning venue but with gorgeous details like handwritten letters, gorgeous flowers, and gowns full of texture (view the full feature here)! For many, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance to bring that romance novel we’ve been fantasizing about into reality. If you’re contemplating about this theme, here’s the go signal you’ve been waiting for! GO!!!
Huge Florals
Speaking of go go go- this year, it’s GO big or go home with your floral arrangements! Whether you want a flower chandelier, arbor, cake arc, or centerpieces, florals contribute to the wow factor of a wedding! And if that’s the case, might as well make a HUGE impression while you’re at it (wink). Mill Pond Estate truly believes in going big when it comes to florals!!
Unique Vendor Stations
You’re away from home and so are your guests! Another trend that can add some entertainment and decor to your wedding day is unique vendor stations! Having a unique interactive vendor can truly increase the entertainment factor of your wedding day. If you’re taking suggestions, how about some delicious cocktail from the tap by Tap Truck Tampa or a champagne cart for guests with Prop Champagne Rentals?
Digital Registry
Rather you a bride or guest- here is another trend that we support and love- Digital Registry!! We’re now living in a digital era and it’s even more apparent now during the pandemic! This year, couples might prefer to get their wedding presents in the form of digital coupons or money. Sounds good, doesn’t it? It seems more practical to me! They can do whatever they want with the money. Maybe for their honeymoon or as an investment for their household! Either way, I definitely think it’s a great option for couples so they can options together!
Floral Bridesmaid Dresses
Floral prints on a spring wedding? Count me in! If you’re decided on holding your special day during spring, getting your bridal party to wear floral-printed dresses would be perfect in the season of flowers! The best thing about this is no dress needs to be identical. Even with unique patterns and colors, it’s still going to be consistent with the theme! This is definitely a great option for couples who wish to cut down on wardrobe expenses or if you simply want to celebrate an intimate outdoor wedding!
Pearls
If you like options like the ones shared above, you might like this option- implementing pearls!! I get crazy about pearls because I love them so much! It makes my heart happy to say pearls are coming back and hopefully stay! Whether you’re going for a pearl-beaded dress or a pearl accessory, you will be the talk of the town! Why not?? Pearls are beautiful especially when you know how to work with them!
