A Poem Dedicated to Stacy And Marvell: From Kimberly Bush
Marvell, Stacy
This poem is for you
This isn’t a wedding poem
If you were expecting to hear words in sync
With bells, audible prose gently lifting veils
I’m sorry
There aren’t enough rose petals to sprinkle on this
To make it what you expect
But then again
This kind of love
Isn’t what you expect
This brand of love
Only comes from the creator
Laying a hand on your chest
Reaching into your soul
And only extracting the best
Who he was
Who she was
Had to be casualties
So consider this more like a eulogy
Removing in complete remnants of you and me
Relics of our past
Separate lives laid to rest
Until at the end
All that’s left standing is this union
Of we
Beautifully
Being this in tune doesn’t come without a soundcheck
In you, I discovered an everlasting crescendo
Her walk – is jazz improvisation
Each stride is perfect
She is poetry in motion
And he
He is a 90s rhythm and blues
Break beats smooth with a backspin
Hey lover
You make me wanna spit bars in a booth
Record 18 tracks of just you
In my best SoCal Accent
I just adore you
I want to absorb you and pour you back into yourself
So I can have
Another glass full
And with us
It’s never half full or half empty
Just overflowed
Overflowed with the blessings from the Supreme
We magnify your name
We pray together
Fast together
Cry together
No wonder we are tied together
You are the most unique thing that a pair of eyes have ever seen
Your smile gave birth to electricity
Caramel, your skin tone
Hair curly, like calligraphy
Perfectly concealing your halo
See this isn’t a wedding poem
There isn’t a long enough kiss to make this poem what you expect
It’s more of a gift from the creator
Perfectly wrapped
Signed, sealed, delivered
Handled with care
This is the kind you just accept
A poem – let’s just call it a memoir
Evidence that this bond is blessed
And now that we’ve cleared the air
All that’s left standing is
King and Queen
Union of we,
Beautifully
In the beautiful outdoors of The Current Hotel, a dream wedding was about to happen. The witnesses? The dearest families and friends of Stacy and Marvell, and the breathtaking Tampa bay. When the team and I got to the venue, the panoramic view stunned us. We were enthralled and speechless, but we had to get working to make sure everything ran smoothly
The guest list was the perfect number! It was plenty of family and friends there to celebrate but it felt intimate every moment. It was as magical as it can be! I was there, and I was glad that was how it came to be! As I was observing, mostly obsessing over details (you know me), I couldn’t help but fall in love with every little thing! One of my favorites was the invitation, beautifully done by Andi Mejia of @andimejiaco!
Albriana (@albrianashante) did marvelously in the wedding planning and designs department. Just look at how she put everything together. It was executed perfectly! Guests were seated at the elegant Chiavari chairs, encircling the chuppah so everyone could see the unification of two hearts unfold.
When I saw the ever so talented musicians of Stringz Attached, LLC (@thestringzattached), I just knew this was going to be a magical experience. Not to mention, the blooms of violets, blues, purples, and creams made the ceremony dreamy, skillfully arranged by Royal Events & Services, LLC (@royaleventsandservices).
Behind the scenes, our bride was getting ready. She’s already gorgeous as she is, but her beauty was even more prevalent thanks to Nicki Mac of @nickimacbrides (makeup) and The Hair Doula (hair) for working their magic.
Now, the violin was playing while the pianist keys in beautiful melodies that heightened the emotions of those watching. The captivating bride walked down the aisle. Her eyes saw no one but her handsome groom standing at the end of the flowery path, waiting for her. It was a picturesque scene. Stacy opted for a sheer bridal cape instead of a veil, and it flowed with the breeze as she moved towards the love of her life.
Stacy looked stunning in her bridal gown from CC’s Bridal Boutique (@ccsbridalboutique), decorated with intricate embroidery. She opted for a sheer bridal cape instead of a veil, and it flowed with the breeze as she moved towards the love of her life. Marvell looked dashing and princely in his blue suit by Bespoke & Co. I can’t imagine the fluttering in their hearts as they inched closer to one another! Once Stacy and Marvell met at the altar to say their vows to one another, everybody sniffled their tears of joy. It was a very moving moment for this sweet couple to officially become Mr. & Mrs.! Congratulations, Stacy and Marvell!
