Picking your OOTD takes a lot of planning– or at least that’s how I am especially when it calls for some serious brainstorming (a must for special occasions)! For many, even a week’s worth of work attire was carefully mixed and matched over the weekend. It is fun, but it is also a lot of effort! We need that same energy and creativity to pick the right outfit for your branding session. If possible, it’s about time we challenge our fashion senses and take it to the next level (while being brand conscious)! You probably already have a lot of wardrobe combinations in mind and if you’re having a hard time choosing which should be your first, second, and third picks, let me inspire you with these amazing outfit choices by our lovely clients!

The Purpose Behind A Branding Session

To help you set a decision for your branding photoshoot wardrobe, let us first identify what is the purpose behind a branding session. A branding session is a photo session that we curate with expertise and careful planning to produce images that represent the brand or showcase their story and values. To put it simply, this session is an extension of your brand voice and reputation, hence why we ensure that we are intentional in tailoring the perfect session for you. We want to make sure that your images will garner the right impression from your audience, and for you to attract the clients who will value your services the most!

Without further ado, let me share sneak peeks of some of our branding sessions from our amazing, creative, fashionable businesswomen to help you assemble THE wardrobe for your session! 

For our first entry, we tailored a session for our dear friend, Josefina, of Love Offering. Josefina is an artist and writer (and a great one at that) who advocates for mental health wellness and self-healing. For her outfit, she wanted to evoke the feeling of hominess and calmness. And for the color, she wanted to make sure that her wardrobe colors were consistent with her brand’s palette. You’ll know what I’m talking about if you check her website! I am honestly so proud of how this branding session turned out! Together, we nailed it!

Let’s be honest. As business owners, we are, in a way, content creators. Whatever our marketing campaigns are, we always need to produce eye-catching content. Just imagine how much content we need to make in a year! Don’t get me wrong– it is fun! But what can you do when you have a lot of ideas for content but you’re running out of supply from your gallery?? The horror! We thought about this dilemma and have decided to come up with solutions: our Branding Collective Membership package and Editorial Styling Collection. Our friend Clarisa from Cala Lane (she made our brand logos!), jumped on this opportunity and we have produced a HUGE collection of breathtaking editorial images for her brand! I love how we were able to follow a seasonal theme for each session. Talk about having multiple outfits! For most of Clarisa’s sessions, we honed in on her neutral and soft tones of a wardrobe! She definitely has enough artillery for every season of the year now!

For her summer-themed session, we went with vibrant colors for her palette to mirror her backdrop. Clarisa definitely looks like one of her paintings in this session! She wore floral-patterned skirts and plain-colored tops for a colorful touch while ensuring there was balance in her outfit. 

Which reminds me, here’s a little fashion advice from one creative to another: don’t wear two pieces of clothes in different patterns at the same time because it won’t look very pleasing to the eyes! It will be distracting and we don’t want that!

For a business-casual look, I suggest wearing an elegant top in pastel (or light color), and pair it with white slacks and neutral-colored accessories for balance. If you wish to have that light and airy effect in your photographs, choosing light colors for your outfit would be the best option, just like the combinations below!

In my opinion, opting for a neutral-colored wardrobe is the safest! Of course, it’s nice to wear something from your brand palette but the thing about neutral colors is they work everywhere and in anything! If you’re very particular about the color coordination of your website and channels, then the wardrobe below is perfect for you! A neutral outfit palette is also best for multi-business owners since you can use your photos interchangeably for all your businesses!
